Just A Reminder Of The Incredibly Homoerotic Tina Turner NRL Commercials From The ’90s
TV ad for sport, or the PG preview for a 'vintage Aussie group gay sex' pornhub video?
In the late ’80s and early ’90s, the ARL — now the NRL — decided to run a several year-long ad campaign featuring Tina Turner. This post has little purpose other than to remind — or, if you’re like me, inform you — of their incredibly homo-erotic existence.
The ads resurfaced on Twitter on Monday as part of a larger meme where LGBTIQ+ people share the first cultural figures/content that made them question their sexuality.
Australian writer Adam Moussa, who lives in New York, was asked by a follower if he had “anything specifically horny and Australian from that era I should know about”, and boy, did he.
Behold, the 1989 ad for the ARL featuring Tina Turner singing about “the boys” of rugby who think “they’re God’s gift to women”, set to images of beefy men training for footy in speedos, wrestling, hugging and wearing very short shorts.
In short, this video could double as the PG preview for a ‘vintage Aussie group sex’ video.
This ad was made for — and I cannot stress this enough — a heterosexual audience https://t.co/dttnQCfKCG

Where to begin with dissecting it? There is no beginning nor end, nor one point to direct your attention to: it must be viewed as a whole. There is nothing to say, other than it’s simply the best.
The latter ads, some of which are below, are nowhere near as homoerotic, but still feature some beefed up boofheads, as well as Tina Turner singing on top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Sorry Diplo: she beat you once again.
