The First Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s Time-Travelling Thriller ‘Tenet’ Is Here
It looks like a return to the high-concept action of 'Inception' -- and we're here for it.
Judging by the first trailer of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, the director returns to the high-concept action of Inception and Memento — and we’re all for it.
Not too much is given away, of course, but here’s what we can gleam: John David Washington’s character passes a test to work for an intelligence agency, and finds himself on a quest to prevent nuclear catastrophe.
Time travel’s involved, with he and partner (played by Robert Pattinson) involved in car chases and fights that go back and forth in time. As to be expected by Nolan, it’s stunning to watch, even if we can’t quite make much sense of it yet.
The film also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Himesh Patel, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Michael Caine, who last year spoiled the ending of Inception. Given that really goes against the whole film, we wonder if some tense words were exchanged on the Tenet set.
Watch Tenet‘s trailer below — if you’re dying for more, you can also catch a prologue for the film in IMAX cinemas, screening before showings of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Tenet will be out July 17, 2020.
