Sacha Baron Cohen has released the first episode of his new Showtime show Who Is Americaand spoilers: it is absolutely fucking wild.

The program follows the same basic formula as BoratBruno and Da Ali G Show, with Cohen playing various ludicrous characters in order to goad his interview subjects into doing something ridiculous and/or appalling. You can watch the whole first episode on Stan right now — but to give you a taste of what you’re in for, Showtime has released a ten minute clip featuring Cohen as Israeli anti-terrorism expert Erran Morad successfully convincing Republicans to arm school children.

“Morad” is in Washington to gain support for his Kinder-Guardians program, which puts guns in the hands of children in order to prevent school shootings. So he seeks out gun rights advocate Philip van Cleave, (who you might remember from his cringeworthy interview with John Oliver on The Daily Show) to help him shoot a special instructional video using guns made to resemble children’s toys.

“Just remember to point Puppy Pistol’s mouth right at the middle of the bad man,” explains van Cleave, somehow unaware that he is being trolled. “If he has a big fat tummy, point at that.”

“It’s fun!” agrees the Israeli.

He also met with various Republican lawmakers, who were all too happy to throw their weight behind his program.

“A three-year old cannot defend itself from an assault rifle by throwing a Hello Kitty pencil case,” says one Congressman. “Our founding fathers did not put an age limit on the second amendment.”

“When it comes to the safety of our children, the way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good child with a gun,” adds another. “Happy shooting, kids.”

God help us all.
