Yep, We Could Happily Waste A Lot Of Time Playing Game Of Thrones: The 8-Bit Game

Even 8-bit Jon Snow is weirdly dreamy.

C’mon, this was bound to happen. I mean, dragons? Warring kingdoms? Diced-up humans? Game Of Thrones was practically made to be a video game, and thanks to some random dude in Uruguay, now it is.

Dragons

Relax, lady — we’re getting to it.

Perhaps inspired by this really great College Humour thing, Game Of Thrones fan and comic book artist Abel Alves created an 8-bit version of the much-loved show, and it’s available to download for free from a computer near you.

Although he tells Wired that he counts the Lannisters and Starks as his favourite members of the GoT universe, he had to “choose characters that have some action in the series.” As such, players only have the option to control four characters: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Tyrion Lannister and Davos Seaworth. Each character has its own unique attacks and abilities, and the total game features four levels of challenges, based on different parts of the the sprawling, seemingly endless saga.

Seeing as HBO recently confirmed the show’s fourth season return for March 2014, the game could be a timely cure for your dragon-y/boob-y withdrawals. You’re welcome.
