Winnie the Pooh: Blood And Honey, the viral low-budget slasher comedy about the iconic pant-less bear, finally has a trailer.

The Winnie the Pooh: Blood And Honey trailer reimagines the beloved characters of A. A. Milne like you’ve never seen them before. Basically, if you watched Disney’s live action Christopher Robin film starring Ewan McGregor as a grown-up Christopher Robin wholesomely rediscovering the forest friends of his childhood and thought, “needs more blood”, this is the film for you.

In Blood and Honey, a grown-up Christopher Robin returns to the Hundred Acre Wood to find that Pooh and his pink bestie Piglet have turned, nightmarishly, on their fellows in their resentment over Christopher’s abandonment. Fuelled by their anger, the pair have been plotting bloody revenge for their once best friend so when Christopher does return, the bloodbath begins.

The trailer introduces us to Christopher Robin who is on the verge of marrying a woman called Mary. Christopher is taking Mary to the Hundred Acre Wood to meet his magical childhood alum, only to find his old haunt in violent disrepair. As night falls, Mary suggests they leave, but the vengeful Pooh has other plans.

“This is for different people who want a different type of Winnie,” said co-producer Scott Jeffrey in an interview with TMZ. Along with director Rhys Waterfield, the pair have promoted the film as a confluence of horror and comedy that’s definitely not for kids.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood And Honey was shot over 10 days near Ashdown Forest, the original forest that inspired Milne’s imaginary Hundred Acre Wood. The film is clearly dedicated to authenticity. However, copyright prevented Pooh from wearing his iconic red crop top. Instead, his ritual killings will be performed in a lumberjack suit.

And if you’re wondering where the rest of the Hundred Acre Wood crew are? Pooh and Piglet ate them to survive. Also, they’re not quite out of copyright yet. (Perhaps it’s for the best.)
