Psy released a follow up!

It’s called ‘Gentlemen’!

UPDATE: You can listen to it here, now.]

Good to see he’s branching out.

Set to premiere via live stream from Seoul’s World Cup Stadium late tonight, the song was released ahead of schedule and includes the lines  “I’m a mother father gentlemen” and “I’m gonna make you sweat / gonna make you wet”. There’s no choreographed film clip yet, but Psy has asked the 50 000 fans heading to the World Cup Stadium this evening to wear white. He’s hinted that “all Koreans know this dance … but [those in] other countries haven’t seen it,” meaning that it will probably incorporate a vaguely offensive take on traditional Korean dance.

Daft Punk + Nile Rodgers:

Here’s the third instalment of Daft Punk’s ‘The Collaborators’, a series featuring the notables who worked with Daft Punk on their forthcoming album, Random Access Memories. This one’s all about Chic guitarist Nile Rodgers, who talks about groove, Donna Summer, working with cool people, and Daft Punk as escapism.

The series, part of Vice and Intel’s Creators Project, has already covered disco legend Giorgio Moroder and producer Todd Edwards.

The Way, Way Back Trailer:

Steve Carell! Toni Collette! Alison Janney! Maya Rudolph! All of your fantasy friends, wrapped up in a crowd-pleasing coming-of-age drama.

From the Oscar-winning co-writers of The Descendants — Nat Faxon and Jim Rash, who cameo in the film — The Way, Way Back was the biggest seller at Sundance this year, purchased for close to $10 million by Fox Searchlight (Juno and Little Miss Sunshine).

Jay-Z Has Written You A Defensive Open Letter:

Dear everyone,

Please stop giving me crap for taking Beyonce to Cuba and selling the Brooklyn Nets.

With love,

The self-described Bob Dylan of rap music.

The White House is distancing itself from the claims in the song, saying Obama did not in fact personally approve Jay-Z’s Cuba visit – a trip which is being slammed by the GOP as insensitive and potentially embargo-breaking. In a hilarious daily presser, Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked about the lyrics: “I guess nothing rhymes with Treasury, because Treasury offers and gives licenses for travel, as you know, and the White House has nothing to do with it.” (via Gawker)

Learn To Vine With Roseanne:

Our heroes at Vulture tracked down Roseanne Barr’s Vine account, and it makes us even more sure she was meant to be our mum. (Sorry mum.)
