The I Fucking Love Science Facebook page has clocked up 6.6 million likes since it launched in in March 2012. In March of this year, its creator started a Twitter account, and was revealed to be the most surprising type of human that a world famous science enthusiast could be: an attractive 23-year-old woman.
Elise Andrew was in Australia at the beginning of this month talking about science and social media. During the tour, she also talked about her intention to launch a YouTube channel. And now, it’s finally live.
The first episode of a weekly show features jetpacks, beatles, a previously unknown exo-planet, and the newly discovered half-cat/half-teddy-bear mammal: the olinguito.

News broke overnight that the word “twerk” had been added to the Oxford English Dictionary. Not only did the internet get extremely excited about the idea of this, so did major news outlets like Reuters, BBC and NBC News.
As always, Morgan Freeman remained unflappable.
Freeman would have been even less excited to hear that the news was actually false. Oxford University Press — which owns the Oxford English Dictionary and the Oxford Dictionaries Online – differentiated between the two outlets in their official announcement of the addition: “twerk”, along with “bitcoin”, “derp”, “emoji”, “squee”, “srsly” and “selfie” were added to Oxford Dictionaries Online, not to the OED, which is “a historical dictionary” that actually means something.
In celebration of the fact that “twerk” is not a real word and should not be said by anybody ever again, a new song by Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and Lil Twist has leaked. It is called ‘Twerk’ and features the lyrics “twerk, twerk, twerk” and “twerk it, twerk it.”
It is a stupid song, and you will be stupider for listening to it. Here:
