While You Were Sleeping, George W Bush Was Probably Painting Dogs
Here are some things that happened overnight. Featuring Lucille Bluth in gifs, a Louis C.K. trailer, and portraits of dogs by the 43rd President.
The greatest comedy of the generation of blah blah ever to do a thing on a thing:
The trailer for Louis C.K’s upcoming hour on HBO, Oh My God (which airs on April 13), has just come out. It’s pretty great!
Bling Ring:
Here’s the trailer for an upcoming Sofia Coppola film, Bling Ring, based on a group of Californian teens who, obsessed with fame, went around stealing close to $3 million worth of goods from the homes of celebrities like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Megan Fox and Orlando Bloom in 2008/2009. Perfect fodder for a film (in fact it was already turned into one for Lifetime), and Coppola hired one of the suspects and the detective who led the case to consult. The film stars Emma Watson and Leslie Mann. The trailer looks super fun, and stars Sleigh Bells.
Coo-coo-ka-cha:
As part of their Sitcom Smackdown, Vulture have posted comments from Jessica Walter responding to the top five gifs of her character from Arrested Development, Lucille Bluth. Our favourite is this hideous, lizard-like wink. “Most people can’t completely close one eye,” she says. “Try it, try it! You’ll see. It’s very hard to close one eye totally and keep the other one open. It just so happens I’m able to do that, so I worked it into the script.”
This week in dogs:
A few self-portraits painted by George W Bush did the rounds last month, after they were found by a hacker. They were pretty interesting? Anyway, it’s just come out that he prefers to paint dogs. Two of them look like this.
And here’s the former first dog, Barney. Of hilarious note is the way that George W. Bush paints dogs the 43rd President of America signs his work. (via Salon, Gawker)
