While You Were Sleeping, Chris Brown Sucks
Here are some things that happened over the weekend. Featuring Justin Timberlake's Saturday Night Live, The Stone Roses vs Azealia, and Chris Brown continuing to be a piece of shit.
New Radiohead:
Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich’s new project, Atoms For Peace, put together a two-hour Essential Mix for BBC6 on the weekend. The whole thing is worth a listen on account of it is GREAT, but if you need a little extra push there’s an unreleased Radiohead song, ‘Harmonics Loop’, and one from Yorke too: ‘Has Been’. You can listen to the mix here. (via Consequence Of Sound)
The Stone Roses apologised to Azealia Banks for some reason?:
After her set at Sydney’s Future Music Festival on Saturday, Azealia Banks took to Twitter to accuse a much better musical act of trying to sabotage hers. “Big apologies on behalf of the stone roses to my fans at the festival today. My ex tour manager made a pact with the stone roses saying they’d sabotage my set because I fired him.. And they decided to check their equipment behind me during my set. Fuck those old saggy white n***as stone roses. I wish them nothing but excrement and death.” Which, wow. She continues: “I must really fucking be a superstar… You’ve got an established band trying to sabotage my lil rap bitch shine… Wow a bunch of old white men trying to bully a young black girl…. What the fuck else is new in this world ???” All the posts have since been taken down from Twitter, but inexplicably apparently they did the trick:
JT on SNL:
Justin Timberlake hosted Saturday Night Live for the fifth time, and was inducted into the exclusive Five-Timers Club alongside Tom Hanks, Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. The show was a biggie, featuring Paul Simon, Chevy Chase, Candice Bergen, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Alec Baldwin, Tom Hanks, Steve Martin and Jay-Z, and a reprise of Timberlake and Andy Samberg’s Dick In A Box characters. Unfortunately there’s no video we can stream Down Under yet, but we did manage to find this:
That’s Chris Brown’s Pussy, Baby:
Hey, ladies. Have you been swanning through life under the assumption that your vagina belongs exclusively to you? Incorrect. On Thursday night at Hollywood’s Emerson Theatre, Chris Brown grabbed the microphone off a DJ and continued to be an absolute treat of a man, letting the crowd (and, thanks to TMZ, the world) know that Rihanna’s pussy is “mine babe, babe, mine” and “it’s mine girl, it’s mine girl, it’s mine”, and that she had “better not give it away”, and “don’t make me have to tell you again”. Because that’s exactly the kind of not-even-veiled threat we want to hear from the man that least deserves ownership of Rihanna’s bits. He went on to instruct everyone listening that they should threaten their own women before they “fuck another n***a”. Because that’s what women are like, and that’s how relationships work. Anyway here’s the full quote, and you can watch the video at TMZ.
“Every guy in this building has said one thing to their female. If you’re not an insecure n***a and you let her have fun with her friends, I applaud you. You gotta say that one thing to her and I made this shit up, [sings] don’t make me have to tell you again, that that’s my pussy baby! It’s mine babe, babe, mine. Don’t make me have to tell you again, that that’s my pussy, baby. It’s mine, girl, it’s mine, girl, it’s mine. … so you better not give it away! So every person in this motherfucking building, if you got a bad bitch you better say that shit to her, or she might fuck another n***a.”
Here’s a photo that was taken the next day. It capped off a great week for Chris Brown, after he got into a fight with his bodyguard, and then got into a fight with his valet. (via THR)
