Your Fave ‘Stranger Things’ Characters As Uni Students
Can you guess which character is most likely to eat their lunch in tutes?
Real talk: you’ve been binging Netflix and you have no shame. The second season of Stranger Things just happened to drop when it was exam season and your finger slipped on the play button. Happens to the best of us.
So if you’re caught up on the events in Hawkins, have you ever considered how some of your favourite Stranger Things characters would be like as students? Imagine Steve Harrington walking the halls of Sydney uni with sunnies and his big hair, heading to one of the biggest parties of the semester. That would be pretty cool.
Mike Wheeler
Mike is the kind of guy who butts in to answer the question. He’s lowkey annoying in class, but once you get to know him he’s not all bad – even if he always eats lunch in tutorials and it makes your stomach growl. He often finds himself doing all the work in group assignments, taking one for the team even though all he does is complain about it.
Eleven
You can find Eleven hanging out with her squad at the uni bar. Her clothes are mismatched, her Doc Martens are worn through, and she hoards Eggos in her dorm room. She’s doing an arts degree and is trying out a variety of different subjects – she doesn’t quite know what she wants to do yet. She wags class to update her Instagram feed.
Dustin Henderson
You’ll find this curly-haired guy in a corner of the library devouring science journals and fantasy novels. He’s a biology major and studies amphibians in his spare time – he’ll show you photos of his lizards if he likes you. He also maintains a HD average and indulges in a mocha every once in a while.
Lucas Sinclair
He’s quick on his toes and great at coming up with solutions. His coffee order is a hella simple piccolo and he’s always at his architecture classes fifteen minutes early. You can rely on him to rock up to your place with a hangover cure and Maccas.
Will Byers
He’s the guy that never turns up to class and yet manages to pass every single subject. You start to wonder: does he even exist? When he does show up, he looks like he’s had one hell of a bender. Despite his appearance, he’ll hold the door open for people and actually contribute to group assignments over Facebook.
Max Mayfield
Can someone please blast ‘Sk8er Boi’ when she enters the premises? Max is at uni for two reasons: to socialise with mates over a cold beer and arcade games, and kill it in her civil engineering classes. She’ll help you find your car keys after calling you an idiot and will make sure you get home safe.
Jonathan Byers
If you don’t see Jonathan Byers with a book about a tortured soul in his hands, he’s probably working on a short story or moping about a girl who simply doesn’t like him back. The bags under his eyes signal the amount of all-nighters he ends up pulling to get assessments done on time – he always hands them in late anyway.
Nancy Wheeler
Nancy has a lot on her plate right now – complicated relationships, figuring out her life, and looking after her brother. She’s hella organised, is often seen with a colour coordinated binder and hopes to get into event planning.
Steve Harrington
Steve rocks up, not officially enrolled, just to hang out with mates and go to parties. He doesn’t need uni because he’s a full-time babysitter.
