You Will Be Fixated On Channing Tatum’s Abs, Arms And Groin In The Trailer For Magic Mike XXL

What we tend to forget about the first Magic Mike film — which was billed as an excuse to watch Channing Tatum dance shirtless, and has been a staple at cheesy hen’s nights ever since — is that it was actually kinda depressing: a Soderbergh-directed portrayal of a young blue-collar man who gets caught up in a reckless lifestyle despite his better judgement, and a comment on the vulnerability of the American Dream.

So I guess that means we can expect Magic Mike XXL — which has been billed as just a straight-up dance porno — to be a post-modern take on literary history, couched in appropriated Greek mythology and pervaded by an existential angst. Because hooooo boy, look at him work that metal grind.
