Over the weekend, late night host Jimmy Kimmel premiered the sixth installment of his beloved regular bit, where celebrities are forced to painfully confront the anonymous vitriol of the internet.
Some of the commenters are unnecessarily mean, like the person who tells Bill Murray that he’s not funny, and the person who tells Cate Blanchett that she’s “fuckin gross dude”. But others deserve instant publishing contracts, like the person who compares Rob Lowe to “skin cancer”, and the person who conflates the butter on movie popcorn with “John Goodman’s ball sweat”. That is award-winning poetry right there.
