Watch Anna Kendrick Fall Deep Into The Star Wars Hype In The New Trailer For ‘Star Wars: Battlefront’

It features a global phenomenon of people from all walks of life disappearing, swept up in some experience while the rest of us stay behind on earth. Sound familiar?

As Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues its slow and steady arrival, blocking all else on the pop culture horizon, it’s a strange time to not be a Warsy. A Jed-head? Sorry. With the continual stream of posters, promos, teasers, trailers, inside snippets, outsider opinions, tweets and Tumblr explosions, it feels a little like being a lactose intolerant Jewish kid in a house full of advent calendars. Each day brings a supposedly tasty new surprise in the lead-up to an event I really don’t care about.

Anyway! Today’s little treat is the new trailer for Star Wars: Battlefront — the upcoming re-make of the classic 2004 first- and third-person shooter of the same name. It stars Anna Kendrick (adding gaming-enthusiasts to her ever-expanding fan base of accapella dweebs and indie alcoholics) and it features a global phenomenon of people from all walks of life disappearing, swept up in some experience while the rest of us stay behind on earth, bemused and alone.

Seems about right.

Star Wars: Battlefront will be released November 19. Star Wars: The Force Awakens will put us all out of our misery on December 17.
