Last month, The Hollywood Reporter got a handful of critically acclaimed television showrunners together for their annual round-table. In on the conversation was Breaking Bad‘s Vince Gilligan, The West Wing/Newsroom’s Aaron Sorkin, and Mad Men’s Matthew Weiner, who were asked about the pressure of following up a hit show.

“Don’t do anything you’ve done before,” Weiner answered, “because you’ll be bored.” Which is another way of saying, “I’m going to follow-up seven seasons of prestige drama about the golden age of advertising with a comedic but emotional debut feature film about friendship, love and death, starring Amy Poehler, Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis.”
