After the success of the original ‘WAP’ video there has been multiple covers, and now there is an extremely hot queer version.

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s iconic ‘WAP’  video is a stunning success, reaching almost 30 million views just on Cardi B’s YouTube, and the ‘WAP’ dance has gone viral as a TikTok challenge. So it was inevitable that we were going to get some covers of the video, as happens with any important piece of culture.

Not many of them would be worth sharing, as they would add nothing new or interesting to the already important video. But in this case, dancer Nicole Kirkland and beauty influencer Mac Daddyy have teamed up to bring us a version of the ‘WAP’ video that features mostly queer people of colour.

Kirkland released the video with a message, saying “There are so many layers to gay men… it is not a one glove fits all! Angel and I wanted to represent the beautiful diversity found within the LGBTQ+ community! The rugged, the femininity & everything in-between.”

It’s important that it doesn’t take away from the original ‘WAP’ video, but it pays tribute to it.

And most importantly……it is hot as hell. Lots of people are pointing out that the choreography in the cover is absolutely on point.

The clip has taken off, with Angel Merino (Mac Daddyy) taking to Twitter to express amazement at going viral.

You can check out the full video below – it is extremely worth it.
