It's a decidedly Vampire Weekend-y cover, not that we're complaining.

Vampire Weekend have drip-teased a handful of songs in the lead up to album number four, Father Of The Bride, dropping this May — and now, they’ve plated up a cover of Post Malone.

Visiting the BBC Live Lounge, the band had a chat about the new album and the break since 2013, when we last heard new music. As well as performing recent releases ‘Harmony Hall’, ‘2021’ and ‘Sunflower’, the band turned to one of Post Malone’s recent hits, also called ‘Sunflower’.

The original, which features Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd, is a cut from the Spiderman: Into The Spider-verse soundtrack.

It’s a pretty standard Vampire Weekend makeover, and sounds exactly like you might expect it to — not that we’re complaining. They’ve added in a couple of guitar refrains from their recent releases, too: in short, you’ve got a cover that’ll add a bit of sunshine to your day.
