‘unREAL’ Season Four Will Drop In Just Two Weeks, Which Is Much Sooner Than We Thought
And unlike previous seasons, every episode will drop at once.
UnREAL, your messy behind-the-curtain look at reality television, is returning in two weeks.
Pulling a Riverdale, the show is debuting another season just months after the conclusion of season three — which wrapped up in April.
And while we might still be grappling with the maelstrom of deceit, betrayal and blackmail of last season, all eight episodes of season four will drop simultaneously on Stan on Tuesday July 17.
The surprise announcement came last night through a video message from UnREAL‘s Constance Zimmer, posted to Stan’s streaming service.
We also know UnREAL is in for a shake-up. Where previous seasons have lined up with new cycles of Everlasting, the reality-show-within-a-show where manipulative producer Rachel (Shiri Appleby) and mentor/boss Quinn (Zimmer) push contestants in the name of ratings, season four is taking a leaf from Bachelor In Paradise, focusing instead on a spin-off Everlasting: All Stars. And — plot twist — Rachel is stepping out from behind the shadows to become the suitor (though that isn’t really how the spin-offs work, but whatever).
Considering last season involved dangerous psychologists, layers-upon-layers of blackmail and a surprise proposal, we’re sure season four is going to be filled with more devious dealings than ever before.
