Uber Now Lets You See All Your 1-Star Ratings, And This Feels Worse Than A Hangover?

This is not a welcome update.

Brace yourselves for a rude shock because Uber will now allow you to see exactly how many one-star ratings you’ve received in the app, so now you can flex your superiority over your mates with more low ratings.

To put it simply, the system tells you — point-blank — how many times you’ve been a drunken mess and maaaaybe chucked the entire contents of your guts up in the back of a Toyota Corolla. Judging by my own personal stats, I have probably done this eight times and, let me tell you, I hang my head in shame.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to the 27 Uber drivers that did not believe my company was worthy of five stars.

In addition to telling you fun stuff like how many times your Uber driver absolutely hated you, the app will also give you data on how many trips and UberEats orders you’ve made, if you really want to rub salt in the wound today.

If you’re keen to have a suss of your own data, make sure you have the most recent update of the app and open the settings menu. Within the settings menu, select “Privacy”, then “Privacy Centre.” When prompted, scroll across to the “How You Use Uber” section and select “See Summary.”

This will open a page filled with your data, including how many UberEats orders you’ve made in your life (terrifying stuff). If you scroll down from here, you can view your individual rating breakdown.

Naturally, this is the perfect time to ask all of your friends to share their data as well. Either, it’ll make you feel a hell of a lot better about your own rating, or — like me — you’ll hang your head in shame knowing you have the worst rating of the group chat.
