Turns Out The Reason Thor Skipped ‘Civil War’ Was Because He Was Living In A Flat In Australia
He's been hanging out with Darryl this whole time.
The last Captain America film had more superheroes than the floor of Comic-Con. But one caped crusader who was noticeably absent was Thor. Now, a brand new mockumentary has explained why that was. Turns out while the rest of the Avengers were going at it, the son of Odin was kicking back in our neck of the woods with some guy named Darryl.
Directed by Taika Waititi, the same guy behind Hunt for the Wilderpeople and the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, the three minute clip reveals that the Asgardian needed some “me time” after the events of Age of Ultron and decided to move to Australia to be around “average, everyday people.”
Not that he hasn’t been using his time productively. In addition to volunteering at a local school and trying to help Captain America and Iron Man work through their “relationship problems”, he’s also dedicated himself to solving the mystery of that purple guy with the magic glove who seems to have been causing so much trouble for everyone. He even put together a little flow chart, bless his heart.

Don’t worry Thor. We’d be on your team.
Thor: Ragnarok is currently shooting in Queensland and will hit cinemas in November next year.
