Everyone Is Emotional Watching Troye Sivan Reunite With His Dog After 7 Months Apart

Troye Sivan just released a YouTube video documenting his journey from Australia back to America, including an emotional reunion with his dog. 

Troye Sivan has been in Australia for the past 7 months, one of the many Australians forced to return because of the pandemic. But last week he packed up and headed to L.A, and in a throwback to his YouTuber roots, he released a 15-minute vlog documenting his travel.

Titled with a reference to the most important part, “surprising my dog after 7 months apart!!!!!!! :) *emotional*”, the full video is an interesting look at what it’s like travelling overseas now.

Sivan speaks about his anxiety travelling, and from Australia through a stopover in New Zealand to America, you get to see a look at how empty and creepy the airports are.

Sivan was only one of FIVE people on board the final leg to L.A, and he is obviously a bit freaked out by the entire thing. But as he says at the very beginning of his travels, the idea of surprising his dog is “like literally the single thing that gives me hope and makes me feel better about this whole situation.”

And that’s what he does – he makes it home, and while his dog Nash is out on a walk with the friend who has been looking after him, Sivan sneaks in and sets up a camera. The rest is just pure unadulterated doggy joy.

And human tears.
