Pissbaby Men Are Very Angry At A ‘Tonightly’ Sketch About Women In The Workforce
Happy International Women's Day!

Hooray, it’s International Women’s Day, so let’s celebrate the way we do every year: by highlighting the various inequalities that women in our society suffer, via the medium of song and dance. This year, our friends at Tonightly have contributed a very musically apt example called ‘Workin’ 9 to 5: And Then Some’.
Bridie Connell has turned the classic Dolly Parton song into a very timely sketch about how work doesn’t end at 5pm for women. Highlights include the schlubby husband getting brownie points for his minimal labour around the house:
[Extremely Dolly Parton voice] “Gary folds one towel and expects a heap of credit, then he posts about how woke he is, every night on Reddit.”
The sketch is also an unapologetically grim look at some of the unfair expectations on working women, and the absolutely skewed gendered workload in balancing career and family. I liked it when the women fantasises about abandoning her husband and children, that’s a light moment!

Of course, it wouldn’t be International Women’s Day if we forgot about the ANGRY MEN who disagree with the PREMISE OF THE SKETCH. Tonightly‘s comments have obviously been lit up by some of the brightest stars in men’s rights:
congrats to men for being so predictable https://t.co/Ni0HiGnHlu pic.twitter.com/CVm2QXEe7u

But mostly, it’s full of women agreeing with the video. Hmm, who to believe?
