Okay, so this is happening. Tommy Wiseau, the mad genius behind cult classic The Room, is currently looking for funding for his new movie, which is literally titled Big Shark. It’s about a big shark.
Wiseau screened a trailer for the project at a showing of The Room in London last week. The film is set to star Wiseau along with Greg Sestero and Isaiah Laborde as a trio of New Orleans firefighters who are forced to… fight the shark, I guess? The trailer isn’t exactly big on plot, or acting, or production values. But on the plus side, it’s got a really big shark.
Will the movie ever get off the ground? Honestly, I have no idea, although you have to imagine crowdfunding is the perfect platform for cult figures like Wiseau.
