Two or more roles being played by one actor in the same thing, as far as I am aware, was first pioneered by a young Lindsay Lohan in The Parent Trap. I know this is probably incorrect, but I am happy in a world where that is the order of events and I choose to stay there.

The Lohan tradition has been emulated to great effect by a number of actors since, most notably Tatiana Maslany in Orphan Black. Now Tom Hardy carves his name onto that illustrious list, playing both of the notorious Kray brothers in ’60s London-era gangster flick Legend, out September 9. If you are a fan of Tom Hardy in a suit with slicked-back hair and a Sowf Lunnun accent — and you are, otherwise what is up with you today — this is definitely going to be worth your time.

This looks like a great movie, albeit inferior to The Parent Trap. All movies are inferior to The Parent Trap. I am not sorry for saying so, because that is just the way things are.
