People are crying over a TikTok which shows the rescue and transformation of a goldfish named Monstro.
The Internet loves animals, this is undeniable. There are endless videos and photos and memes and TikToks of cute and funny animals doing cute and funny things. However, most of the nice animal content we get to see is focused on certain types of pets. It’s all ‘dog this’ and ‘cat that’ and while I adore both dogs and cats, and am always happy to see rabbits and goats and whatever else you want to show me, there are some pets that are unfairly ignored. Pets like goldfish. But right now they are having a moment, as many people are being moved emotionally after watching a pure TikTok about a goldfish rescue. Posted on TikTok by @heretherebesculptures, the video tells the story of a sick and dying fish who is nursed back to health, and undergoes a beautiful colourful transformation. Up to over a million views on TikTok, it’s also now making people cry on Twitter.
