The Trailer For ‘Tiger King 2’ Is Finally Here And Yes, Big Cat-Loving Carole Baskin Is Back
Hey all you cool cats and kittens, strap in for another wild ride.
The trailer for Tiger King 2 — the sequel to the explosive Netflix docuseries about exotic cats, eccentric zookeepers, and potential murder plots — is finally here to plunge you right back to the start of the pandemic.
Picking up right where the series left off, Tiger King 2 sees Joe Exotic and his ragtag crew of exotic cat-handlers return with cash to burn after the success of the show. That is, of course, except for Joe Exotic, who is still behind bars after being sentenced to 22 years for violating wildlife laws and hiring a murder-for-hire hitman to take out his number one enemy, Carole Baskin.
“There’s an innocent man in prison. Everybody from the zoo is out there making money, and I’m paying the price for every one of them people,” Exotic can be heard saying in a call from a Texas federal prison. “If you give a damn, it’s time to speak up.”
Despite Carole Baskin calling the series a “dumpster fire” and sharing that she refused to take part in Tiger King 2 over how she was portrayed on screen, the big-cat lover appears to play a big role in the sequel.
Jumping off from the original storyline that alleged Baskin potentially had a hand in her former husband’s death, the sequel dives deeper into Don Lewis’ disappearance “down in Costa Rica” as Baskin searches for answers.
Along with Baskin, a number of familiar faces are set to return for the follow-up series. We can expect to see characters like jetski-riding icon James Garretson, handyman-turned-hitman Allen Glover, and Jeff Lowe, who used big cats to convince women to have sex with him, took the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park (G.W Zoo) from Joe Exotic, and is the man who was mercilessly roasted during a Reddit AMA following the success of the original docuseries.
Set to premiere on November 17 on Netflix, Tiger King 2 at five episodes is slightly shorter than the original eight-episode docuseries.
But even though the sequel won’t be as long, I’m certain it’s going to be just as wild as the first — especially if cameras were on scene to capture the limo waiting outside of Joe Exotic’s prison as the zookeeper foolishly expected Donald Trump to randomly pardon his 22-year sentence at the start of the year.
