The Wiggles Are Calling Out Ticket Scalpers Because The Wiggles Are Grouse

$300 for a ticket seems a little bit steep.

Your favourite skivvy-clad musos are whipping out their featherswords in an attempt to stop dickheads gouging toddlers out of their hard-earned pocket money.

In a message shared on their official Facebook page yesterday morning, The Wiggles hit out at scalpers who are flogging tickets to the band’s upcoming Christmas show for more than seven times the original price. Some online resellers have been asking for more than $300, and as much as I love The Wiggles, that’s a little bit steep.

“Thank you to everyone for your patience today when buying tickets to the Wiggly Christmas Big Show!” reads the message from Anthony, Emma, Simon and the purple one, whose name is apparently Lachlan now, but who as far as I’m concerned will always be named Jeff.

“We received a number of concerned emails and messages about tickets being resold and scalped by unauthorised sellers for exorbitant prices,” it continues. “Please know, we share your concerns and take this very seriously.”

The post also includes a link to an article on the band’s website directing fans to authorised resellers.

Scalping tickets is a garbage act at the best of times. But scalping tickets to the goddamn Wiggles? That’s a whole new level of low.
