The Simpsons/Futurama Crossover Couch Gag Has Just Been Unveiled; May Involve Homer Having An Orgasm In Front Of His Family

The Simpsons/Futurama crossover finally goes to air this weekend on Fox, and it comes with an excellent tagline “A show out of ideas teams up with a show out of episodes”.

“[Futurama] were going off the air, so I thought people would really love it if we had one more chance to see those characters,” Al Jean, Simpsons’ executive producer, said, when the episode was announced in July. “We’re always looking for things that are compatible with us, and I thought, ‘Well, what’s more compatible?’ We do a joke, actually, about how similar Bender and Homer look. Like, they just erased Homer’s hair.”

The episode is called ‘Simpsorama’ and features voice actors Billy West, John DiMaggio, Katey Sagal, Lauren Tom, Phil LaMarr, Tress MacNeille, and Maurice LaMarche. The plot, according to EW involves “A complex, Terminator-esque story”: Bart blows his nose on a sandwich, puts it in a time capsule with Millhouse’s rabbit’s foot and some radioactive ooze, causing a future catastrophe that forces Bender to go back in time to fix it.

The first image from the episode was unveiled last month, and now we have the couch gag.

I might be mistaken, but I’m pretty sure it can be summed up as “Homer lines his family up to watch him orgasm.”
