If you’re a fan of the popular UK series Sherlock you might have noticed the famed detective’s adventures have been on a hiatus for a while now. But hopefully you’ll be placated knowing your boy Benedict Cumberbatch will be back soon — for a one-off 90-minute special, Sherlock: the Abominable Bride.

Standing apart from the fourth season, which begins production early next year, it sends Cumberbatch and co-star Martin Freeman back in time to the Victorian era, where the original tales were based. It doesn’t air until January 1st, but the mysterious, dramatic trailer gives us plenty to wait for (such as: why is Holmes holding a torchlight? And is Freeman’s moustache real?).

And if you missed the little teaser clip that was released back in July, you might also want to have a geez at this:

Sherlock: the Abominable Bride premieres on January 1, 2016, in the US on PBS and in the UK on BBC One (and everywhere else after January 1 through, ah, various means).
