Keanu Reeves And Carrie-Anne Moss Are Returning For ‘The Matrix 4’
How deep does the rabbit hole go?
Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are set to re-enter The Matrix, with the actors signing on for a newly announced entry in the seminal sci-fi/action franchise.
According to Variety, Reeves and Moss will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity in the film, which will be written and directed by Lana Wachowski. Wachowski helmed the original trilogy with her sister Lilly, and told Variety she was excited to return.
“Many of the ideas Lilly and I explored 20 years ago about our reality are even more relevant now,” she said. “I’m very happy to have these characters back in my life and grateful for another chance to work with my brilliant friends.”
Plot details are currently unknown, although sources suggest the role of Morpheus, originally played by Laurence Fishburne, could be recast with a younger actor.
The Matrix 4 is set to begin production in 2020.
