The Ferguson Sketch That Got Cut From SNL This Week Is Actually Hilarious

And deeply uncomfortable. But also hilarious.

It’s understandable that the producers of SNL were a little reluctant to put a sketch discussing Ferguson and Michael Brown to air; the subject matter is so fraught that wading into that kind of territory could land you in trouble.

But a sketch tackling the Ferguson case did get filmed for the latest SNL with James Franco as a guest host, and it’s actually pretty great. It features two St Louis TV show hosts who refuse to stick to the cheery-bubbly script of morning television, a host of unintentionally racially-charged segments, and James Franco as celebrity chef Daryl Wilson, who feels he’s an innocent victim in this whole situation.

You can watch it here. And then you can watch it again, because the uploader put the same five-minute sketch into a ten-minute video twice for some reason, but okay.
