Right-Wing System of A Down Fans Are Just Now Learning Serj Tankian Hates Them
"How do u say ur fav band is system of a down and be conservative I don't get it lmao"
Poor right-wing System of A Down Fans. After spending decades enjoying a band that very clearly don’t agree with their entire worldview, they’re finally cottoning onto the fact that lead singer Serj Tankian thinks that they’re fools.
See, yesterday, Tankian took to his Instagram specifically to call out such conservative followers. Quoting the lyrics to an early System of a Down song called ‘Temper’, he pointed out that any fan that could love the current American President and a band that sing lines such as “Invade countries just for oil” is pretty confused.
“If you love this song or play along to it and love Trump, you’re a hypocrite,” the musician wrote. “Just a simple fact.”

Of course, there’s added irony to Tankian’s message, given that his band’s drummer John Dolmayan has recently spoken out in support of the current American President. Earlier this month, Dolmayan caused outrage when he claimed that the President is “the greatest friend to minorities.” Given Tankian’s comments, sounds like Dolmayan doesn’t even understand the band that he currently plays in.
Anyway, unsurprisingly, right-wingers have taken this “new” political angle from Tankian pretty badly, dropping into his mentions on Twitter and Instagram to voice their displeasure.

Nobody listens to your music. Not since 1999. Bunch of numetal jerkoffs. Go hang out with limp bizkit

Anyway, unsurprisingly, these snowflakes are now getting roundly mocked on the internet.
It’s funny how many radically conservative people I know who love Rage or System of A Down because it sounds aggressive and rebellious only to realize the lyrics are offensive to them ?

This comes days after conservative Rage Against The Machine fans learned that the “machine” getting raged against wasn’t just a photocopier. Poor darlings.
