Studio 10 Tried to Get In On The Lady Gaga Memes, And Absolutely No Thank You
Just no.
Over the last few weeks, Lady Gaga memes have become astonishingly popular. So popular, in fact, that now Australian morning talkshow Studio 10 has tried to get in on the action — extremely unsuccessfully.
See, since the release of the new Lady Gaga album, Chromatica, the internet has lit up with memes dedicated to that record’s second interlude. Called ‘Chromatica II’, it’s a lush orchestral piece that builds up to a trembling cacophony — and then, suddenly, in comes the blaring strains of ‘911’.
It’s a work of great genius, one of the most striking moments on a record full of striking moments, so no wonder that the internet is obsessed with it.

That’s where Studio 10 come in. Early this morning, eager to hitch themselves onto the bandwagon, the Twitter account for the morning talkshow tweeted out a video that combines ‘Chromatica II’ with the show’s theme song.
So yeah, if you’ve ever wanted to see a Gaga album cover transition into shots of Joe Hildebrand and Kerri-Anne Kennerley getting their make-up done, I guess you’re in luck.

Anyway, unsurprisingly, given how little overlap there is between people who like Gaga and people who think that Hildebrand or Kennerley literally ever say anything correct, meaningful, or inspiring, everybody has decided that we are extremely not into this mash-up.
