Star Wars: Rise of the Skywalker is the conclusion to a franchise some five decades in the making, so of course it’s making one helluva splash online ahead of its release this Thursday.

Fans around the world are anxiously awaiting the release of the film. The Last Jedi-haters are hoping that it will course correct Rian Johnson’s distinct and unique entry, while The Last Jedi-lovers are anxiously expecting J.J. Abrams to restore the status quo.

Amidst all that online chatter, spoilers are circulating, as they always do, with leaked images from the film popping up everywhere.

Inspired by that wave of trolls trying to ruin every one else’s good time, Star Wars fans are devising their own spoilers, spreading these fake tales via the hashtag #FakeRiseofSkywalkerSpoilers.

And wouldn’t you know it, these twists are so good we’re secretly hoping that they’ll end up being the real-life climax of the new flick.

Take, for instance, this incredible work of photoshop from Kaiju Conversation, which imagines a world in which Godzilla comes crashing into the Star Wars universe, and is now all I want to see:

Elsewhere, another Star Wars fan imagined Bruce Lee rocking up into the picture armed with nunchuck lightsabers, which are an item that should have been a part of the franchise from the very beginning.

Elsewhere, dedicated creatives have shoehorned in Jar Jar Binks as an arch-villain (which some have claimed was George Lucas’ original plan for the prequel films), referenced the space-cow milking from The Last Jedi, and just generally caused tonal anarchy.

And of course, because the internet only ever has three things on its mind, Baby Yoda has been mashed-up into the whole mess too.

Let’s hope that Abrams’ film lives up to these wild fan theories, even if he doesn’t quite go as far as sticking Kylo Stimpy into things.
