The New Trailer For ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Just Dropped And Holy Shit, It’s Good
Drop what you're doing and watch it now.
This is not a drill: the trailer for the eighth instalment of Star Wars, The Last Jedi, is finally here.
It’s full of incredible stuff, though a quick heads up for super fans — Director Rian Johnson has advised people who want to go into the film totally spoiler free to avoid watching it. Read on at your own peril, we guess (though it’s honestly not that bad).
I a legitimately torn. If you want to come in clean, absolutely avoid it.
But it’s gooooood….. https://t.co/Y29K5yz8i4

He also changed his mind pretty quickly and started urging people to watch it.

For everyone else, here are some of the highlights. We get some flashes of Rey doing lightsaber training with Luke Skywalker, who tells us he’s only seen power like hers once before, and that it didn’t scare him enough. Later, we see some pretty shocking glimpses of Rey apparently asking Kylo Ren (you know, bad guy and wielder of similarly scary power) for help instead. Hello, dark side.
Speaking of the dark side, we also get one of our first proper glimpses of Supreme Leader Snoke, looking intensely evil while apparently torturing Rey.
There’s also an incredibly tense scene featuring the late Carrie Fisher as Leia facing up against Kylo in a space battle. It looks emotional, and like it’s almost certain to end badly.
And, of course, all your other faves are present too — Poe and Finn get some action, and this new little dude makes an appearance. Honestly, this pic is all of us right now.
Anyway, there’s heaps more nerdy shit to dissect, as well as a gorgeous new poster, but we’ve got plenty of time before the film comes out in December to get into that. You can check out the full trailer below, if you dare.
