Don’t miss out on everything that Splendour has to offer. Tickets available via resale facility now.
If you’re heading to Splendour In The Grass, you’re gonna hear some amazing music – fact, obviously, duh. But there’s so much more to the festival than just seeing some of your fave bands live.
We could go on forever about all the parties, bars and comedy shows going down at Splendour. There’s so much fun stuff make the festival a bangin’ event for hardcore music lovers and casual music fans alike.
Hit Up The Opening-Night Party

Before the bands take to the stage on Splendour’s packed first day, RedBull is throwing its infamous first-night party on July 18.
Red Bull Presents: A Night With is your chance to see Pond, FlexMami, Mystics, Electric Fields and more. A handful of amazing bands and DJs will take to the Mix Up Stage to wet your musical palette and kick off the good vibes.
The party opens with a bang at 6pm and runs until late, with free entry for anyone with a three-day event ticket.
Feast Your Ears – And Your Stomach

In a weird-flex-but-okay, the iconic Bondi Icebergs restaurant is making the journey to North Byron Parklands for Splendour this year.
The restaurant is doing a fine-as-hell Icebergs x Splendour pop-up in a private location behind the Amphitheatre (and overlooking a lake to boot), serving a three-course feast with drinks by Smirnoff Infusions, Organics by RedBull, and Hoegaarden.
You can book your spot in one of the two-hour dining experiences now, and your ticket also gets you entry to the exclusive Italo Dining & Disco Club party on the last day of the festival.
Listen, Laugh, And Learn
So, you’re keen to see Tame Impala, Childish Gambino, SZA, and Chance the Rapper, but what about Matt Okine, Luke McGregor, and Gen Fricker? Splendour’s Comedy Club is bringing some of the best comedians in the country to the festival, with shows running across all three days (plus a few cheeky sets on the Thursday before the RedBull first-night party kicks off).
Dr Karl is also coming to Splendour! He’s teaming up with Adam Spencer and a big bunch of brainiacs at The Science Tent to run hands-on science experiments and workshops – with just a couple of explosions, of course.
And – honest to God – Eggboy has joined the line-up. He’ll be speaking at the Splendour Forum with Courtney Barnett, Marc Fennell, Emma Alberici and more in a series of free panels tackling things like Aussie politics, #metoo, and the climate crisis.
Go On A Bar Crawl
There’s so much to eat and drink at Splendour that it’s worth planning your own little bar crawl through the special pop-ups.
The guys from Mary’s are bringing good times and mad vibes at The Unicorn Bar and the Smirnoff Cocktail Bar will have DJs playing late every night and, well, cocktails.
4 Pines will be doing what it does best (pouring craft beer), a champagne bar is waiting for you, and Strongbow is bringing its Rosé Cider. Where will you go first?
Do Some Arts And Crafts

Splendour in the Craft is bringing hot glue guns, bedazzling gear, and the DIY attitude to the festival. Up-cycle your clothes, create your own Splendour-themed charm bracelet, and try the mystery tea blend.
But if you’re only going to do one thing here, make it Carriage Conversations.
Dreamed up by the team behind We’re All Going To Die and using the WAGTD Convo Cards, Carriage Conversations is a phone-free space where strangers ask each other questions about life, fear, and getting to know yourself.
See Some Art

You’ll find art installations scattered throughout the festival grounds, like Mirror Place where everything is – and I cannot stress this enough – a glittering disco ball.
Send in your selfie ahead of time to see it recreated in Face Off, where Laith McGregor will create a massive, evolving sculpture of everyone’s best selfies.
Or marvel at The Rock Rock – an almost-10-metre-tall inflatable tribute to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson that should honestly go down in history as the eighth Wonder of the World.
Have Your Own Rom-Com Moment

If you’re not already using Tinder’s Festival Mode, what are you even doing with your pre-festival prep time? The brand-new mode matches you with other people heading to Splendour, so you can line up cute dates or new friends for the festival.
Just add the Splendour badge to your Tinder profile to start matching and chatting with other hotties heading for the party from now until your pilgrimage to North Byron Parklands.
There’s so much more to Splendour in the Grass than just music (although the 2019 line-up is absolutely stacked), so whether you’re going to see a few bands in particular or just keen for a fun, three-day extravaganza, Splendour is this season’s hottest party.
