Phuc Dat Bich, a 23-year-old Australian with Vietnamese heritage, is having a hard time convincing people of the legitimacy of his name for some reason.

After Facebook shut down his account several times, with administrators requesting he use his “real name”, Phuc Dat posted photos of his passport proving his identity is, in fact, for realsies.

“I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it,” Phuc Dat wrote.

“I’ve been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I’m Asian? Is it?”

I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see…

As you can see, this post was uploaded back in January. But the good people of the internet only recently picked up the story after it featured on News.com, and circulated it tenfold — to further help Phuc Dat receive justice, of course.

According to one wet blanket of a YouTube user, the Vietnamese pronunciation of Phuc Dat’s name actually sounds something like “Phoo Da Bic”. Hey, YouTube — shut up.

Bloody know-it-alls.
