As inauguration day creeps ever closer, the internet has taken to celebrating one of the greatest friendships of the modern age: that of President Obama and his faithful number two man, Vice President Joe Biden.

We’ve seen it in memes and gifs and most recently in the scenes of Biden struggling to hold back the waterworks as his hetero life partner surprised him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. It’s okay Joe. Let the tears come. We’re right there with you buddy.
