Some Guy Climbed Trump Tower Using Suction Cups And The Internet Absolutely Loved It

Because US politics needed to get just a little bit crazier, an “independent researcher” seeking a private audience with Donald Trump has been arrested after he scaled Trump Tower in New York using only suction cups.  The man, identified only as “Steve”, managed to climb 21 storeys before he was hauled in an open window by police.

The incident was streamed live on Facebook and Periscope and watched by hundreds of thousands of Americans who wondered whether the spectacle was a prelude to some sort of political statement.

A Twitter account parodying the climber’s ex-girlfriend has also been set-up.

Others have linked the use of suction cups by the climber to Michael Phelps’ controversial embrace of cupping as an alternative therapy.

It’s great to see that even at times of enormous political tension, including Donald Trump hinting at the potential assassination of Hillary Clinton, the internet can still come together and drop some fire content.
