Support Acts Pull Out Of Upcoming Smith Street Band Tour Amid Allegations Of Emotional Abuse
"Thank you to the people who dropped a line to let us know what is going on."
The Smith Street Band have lost both of their support acts for their upcoming national tour this March and April, after a series of emails and messages leaked online that depicted frontman Wil Wagner allegedly harassing and emotionally abusing former partners.
Both Sweater Curse and The Beths have announced on social media that they will not be playing on the tour, apologising to fans.
The Beths added that they would still be going out on their own headline tour which was built around their support gigs, but are currently sorting out the dates. They said they stand in solidarity with the accusers.
Sweater Curse will no longer be a part of the upcoming Smith Street Band tour in March and April. We are sorry to those of you who were planning on coming down early to see us play, but we will be visiting you all soon and hope we can see you then.

This comes after a series of screenshots were leaked online through Instagram last week, and have been widely shared across social media.
They allegedly show messages sent by Wagner to two of his former partners, with Camp Cope vocalist Georgia Maq yesterday coming forward as one of those people.
Yesterday, Wagner responded to the messages in an Instagram post on the band’s account. In a statement, he admits to saying “incredibly hurtful things that I completely regret”, but say the emails have been “selectively taken out of context”.
