People online are absolutely losing it over this video of a capuchin monkey playing with some hot pink slime.

Gaitlyn Rae is a seven-year-old black-cap capuchin monkey residing in a family home in the US state of North Carolina. The little monkey captured people’s attention when the @lachersfarminals TikTok account started sharing videos of the primate online.

While the account is full of adorable videos like Gaitlyn Rae playing with bubbles, helping with laundry, and putting money into her monkey purse, there’s one video that has blown up. A TikTok of the monkey sifting through a plastic bag full of toys and pulling out a packet of slime has simply melted everyone’s hearts. No, seriously please watch her go.

Not only does Gaitlyn Rae open the slime out of its packaging and plastic container with her little monkey hands, she then actually starts playing with the sticky goo. The cutest thing of all is that the monkey starts kneading the slime like it’s pizza dough — and honestly, my heart is aching.

“You working at a pizza shop?,” Gaitlyn Rae’s owner asks her as she continues to knead and carefully slam the slime on the table.

While Gaitlyn Rae’s adopted mum didn’t immediately respond to our request for comment, the video caption implies that the monkey’s favourite toy is slime. “She loves to pick a goodie from her surprise bag and of course she picked slime again!!!!!,” the caption read.

Even though this is not the first slime video the @lachersfarminals account has uploaded, the goodie bag TikTok went absolutely bonkers online. On TikTok, the video was watched over 44 million times and quickly made its way to Twitter where it also went viral with 150,00 likes in 24 hours.

So far, all we know so far about Gaitlyn Rae is that she’s been with her adoptive family for at least six years. Despite there being no explanation as to why the monkey is living in someone’s home over being in the wild, there is no denying how cute the lil’ capuchin and her pink slime is.
