The infamous rivalry between tennis players John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg is being dramatised in an upcoming movie called Borg/McEnroe, to be directed by Danish film-maker Janus Metz. Shia LaBeouf will play the hot-tempered McEnroe, which seems like an inspired bit of casting considering LaBeouf’s talent for shouting crazy things.

His Swedish opponent Bjorn Borg will be played by Sverrir Gudnasson, whose coach Lennart Bergelin will be played by Stellan Skarsgard.

The two tennis players faced each other 14 times in the late 1970s and early ’80s in close matches including memorable showdowns at Wimbledon and the US Open. McEnroe is remembered as much for his outbursts at umpires as his volleying ability, and was fined thousands of dollars for arguing calls. A new rule that players who were fined over $US7,500 in a single year would face a 21-day suspension was instituted expressly to deal with him.

Check out a couple of his most famous outbursts below.
