The awkward moment when you try to take $20 out and your request gets denied. You will then insist you have money and that there must be a bank error or someone has stolen your money. That’s until you check your transaction history and remember the spending binge you went on, mostly on ridiculous stuff you definitely do not need.
Doing chores are the absolute worst
As we become “proper” adults, it becomes less and less acceptable for your apartment to be littered with dirty plates, clothes and general mess. But why do chores have to be so boring and hard?!
Pretending you’re a responsible adult is the hardest part
Sure, you may be able to afford to order a bottle of wine with dinner now. You might pretend you’re choosing a wine based on its region or other merits, but really you’re choosing the cheapest one you can find on the list. You’re slightly richer but you’re not made of money after all.
You’re constantly avoiding everything you need to do
Adult life means more responsibilities. Instead of getting everything done and feeling accomplished, you’ll avoid everything and be super stressed out as a result. Adulting is hard, so yes, you do deserve a bubble bath.
Those bills, bills, bills…
Remember that time long ago when your parents used to pay for your phone bill? That was a great time. Paying bills is a sign you’ve truly entered adulthood. The struggle is real when your phone bill turns up way more expensive, even though you have unlimited calls and texts. What we wouldn’t give for unlimited data for all the important things, like Girl With No Job memes.
