Serena Williams Posed Naked, Pregnant, Glorious For Vanity Fair And Won The Internet
Bow the hell down.
Serena Williams, possibly the best human ever created, is very good at giving us inferiority complexes. Not only is she the greatest athlete in the world, a brilliant fashionista, and a smart and witty woman, she’s also a pregnant queen who can star in a divine nudie Vanity Fair photoshoot and subsequently win the interent. The. Woman. Is. A. God.
The instantly iconic Vanity Fair cover story, shot by the incomparable Annie Leibovitz, dropped late last night to a storm of international fanfare. And once you see the pics, trust me, you’ll understand. They are something else.
I mean, holy heck! That is truly one of the most beautiful images ever created. She is so strong, and beautiful, and pregnant. It such a bold and stunning image, and one that flies in the fact of the few (super racist and sexist) Serena detractors out there. This photo says: “Here I am, haters. Beat this.”
The shoot has whipped up a frenzy of love for Serena on social media, as fans go absolutely wild for the striking snaps.
It's no wonder pathetic men are intimidated by Serena Williams. She has a body that can WIN EVERYTHING and ALSO CREATE HUMAN LIFE.

This absolutely incredible shoot comes hot on the heels of the news, a few weeks ago, that Williams was pregnant while she was winning the Australian Open earlier this year. In the Vanity Fair piece, Williams says once she`s had her baby, she will return to tennis in January because “I don’t think my story is over yet”.
The interview — and the photos from the shoot, by noted photographer to the stars Leibovitz (who shoots Vanity Fair‘s Oscars spread every year) — also includes the story of how Williams met and fell for fiancé Alexis Ohanian. Ohanian, who is the co-founder of Reddit, tells Vanity Fair that he didn’t really “respect” or have any interest in tennis before he met Serena.
It also tells how the pregnancy was a complete surprise, and how Williams told Ohanian by handing him a paper bag full of six positive pregnancy tests. Which, lol. The pair met in Rome, in a story that includes breakfast buffets, rat scares and Kristen Wiig, of all people.
The couple, who met in 2015, were engaged in January and will be married after the baby is born.
The shoot is absolutely incredible — as amazing as Williams herself is. Though Williams spends a good deal of time having to defend her title as the best tennis player in history, because, as she puts it, “If I were a man, then it wouldn’t be any sort of question”, her tennis playing (and these glorious photos) tends to speak for itself.
As ever, after viewing this incredible shoot, we’re left in no doubt that Williams truly is the Greatest Of All Time. Bow the hell down.
