The Internet Has Decided To Stan Harpo, The Sea Lion Who Can’t Stop Screaming
"I've been really feeling like Harpo recently."
If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that screaming for no reason is the best way to deal with the things life throws at you.
And apparently sea lions have also gotten that memo, according to this viral TikTok from Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California.
On Sunday night the aquarium uploaded a video with one of their resident mammalogists, Erin, to answer the question: “What is the loudest animal at the aquarium?”
In response, Erin rounded up Cain, Parker, and Harpo, the loudest and most rowdy sea lions at the park, and had them scream on camera. As one does.

The short clip of the sea lions screaming into the void quickly went viral on both Twitter and TikTok, with people absolutely losing it over Cain snarling at Erin as she spoke and Harpo, who cut the mammalogist off before she could even finish her sentence.

Some noted the similarities the sea lions had to popular songs, particularly Cain’s snarl looking a lot like Pop Smoke’s “rrrrrr” in ‘Dior’ — a song that’s become it’s own TikTok trend too.

Meanwhile, others decided to dub over Harpo’s iconic screaming with a bunch of miscellaneous sounds that all somehow suited perfectly — from Travis Scott’s ‘Sicko Mode’ to Coolio’s ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ choir. Some even compared Harpo’s screeching to tires during a burnout.
