Junk Explained: Did A Salad Dressing Break Up Olivia Wilde And Jason Sudeikis?
The 'Don't Worry Darling' drama returns as a side dish.

You don’t make friends with salad, dear reader — you scorn jilted lovers with them.
At least, that seems to be the logic emerging from a recent anecdote taken from Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde’s messy break-up, which alleges that a salad and “special dressing” played a pivotal part in the couple’s split.
With the drama from Don’t Worry Darling sustaining enough traffic to warrant its own permanent beat in all major news publications, it’s no surprise that the tendrils of gossip tabloids would delve ever deeper in pursuit of more delicious sustenance. So, dim the downlights and enter stage right: Olivia Wilde’s secret salad.
Our knowledge of #saladgate comes from a Daily Mail interview with a former nanny for the couple, who apparently witnessed the relationship deteriorate as Wilde became infatuated with her Don’t Worry Darling co-star Harry Styles. Sudeikis realised that his relationship had been gutted beyond repair after finding Wilde preparing her ubiquitous salad one evening as she prepared to depart for Styles’ residence.
“SO BASICALLY OLIVIA WILDE TOLD JASON THAT FLORENCE PUGH CHEATED ON HER BF W HARRY BUT LATER SHE MADE THE FIRST MOVE ON HIM AND APPARENTLY JASON AND OLIVIA WERE EMOTIONALLY ABUSIVE TOWARDS THEIR NANNY AND OLIVIA WILDE ALSO MADE A SALAD WITH A “SPECIAL DRESSING” FOR HARRY” pic.twitter.com/bTTMZnE617

Witnessing the mother of his two children prepare her signature salad for another man reportedly sent Sudeikis into overdrive, with the nanny reporting the Ted Lasso star became desperate to stop Wilde from leaving the house.
“She was saying: ‘I’m scared of you, Jason, I’m scared of you’. And he said: ‘If you’re scared of me, why are you leaving your kids with me’?” The nanny reportedly told the publication.
“So then, Jason went outside and lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave,” the nanny continued. She got in her car to back up, he lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave.”

That’s it. That’s #saladgate. I wish I could tell you there was more to it, but there’s not. Unless baby stem cells are found to be a key ingredient in the as-yet-unknown recipe for the mixed greens, the salad days are over.
