Johnny Depp Will Make An Appearance In Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty Showcase, So That’s Grim

In news that will make you question everything you know about good and evil, Johnny Depp has been slated to walk in one of Rihanna’s forthcoming fashion shows.
Yes, Rihanna won’t give us a new album, but she will give us an alleged abuser in an expensive outfit. As we know, Depp has found himself the subject of endless headlines and many more TikToks this year when he took his ex-wife Amber Heard to court in Virginia, accusing her of defaming him via an article she wrote in The Washington Post.
The publication IndieWire confirmed the news yesterday after it first appeared in TMZ, and devastatingly, Rihanna herself apparently wanted Depp in the show. Depp will reportedly be a featured surprise guest in the Savage X Fenty Vol. 4 show, which streams on Prime Video on November 9.
According to IndieWire, Depp will make an appearance during the show’s “star” moments, and look, the more we think about it, the less good it feels. His appearance will apparently be similar to Cindy Crawford’s at the Vol. 3 show last year.
We know little about the cameo, but an individual old TMZ that Depp’s cameo is going to be very “cool and chic”. Who on earth is their source? Johnny Depp?
This isn’t the first time Depp has rolled up somewhere that he wasn’t expected: earlier this year, he literally floated into the MTV VMAs ceremony dressed as the brand’s iconic Moon Person, cringingly joking that he “needed the work”.
Other celebrities scheduled to walk on the runway include Cara Delevingne, Irina Shayk, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Taraji P. Henson, with musical performances from Anitta and Burna Boy.
Depp’s cameo will mark him as the first man to ever be featured as a “star” modelling Rihanna’s men’s collection. Whether he’s the first “documented abuser” to, at the time of writing, unknown.
