Riff Raff Is Still Upset About That Whole Spring Breakers Thing, And Whatnot
He'll be suing the filmmakers for "$8-$10 million, whatnot."
James Franco’s universally-beloved performance as Alien in Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers turned goofy rapper Riff Raff into a household name. If it wasn’t for the worldwide attention that the movie — and, in particular, Alien’s iconic “Look at my sheeeeyit?” speech, inspired by this real-life video from the Texan rapper — Riff Raff aka Jody Christian would probably still be an underground cult-rap figure, rather than a world-renowned punchline and fixture in gossip rag headlines.
Well, I guess that explains why he “just wants [his] money.” As Riff Raff animatedly told TMZ last night, in a drunken monologue worthy of a Spring Breakers sequel: “I haven’t been compensated for the Spring Breakers interactment yet, you know what I mean, so uh, well, with the James Franco and whatnot, you know what I mean, we’re seeking $8-$10 million right now, you know. Whatnot.”
Sure, it’s early, but the whole point of this post is that you’ve gotta take a shot every time he says “whatnot”, and then finish the whole bottle if you also have no idea what the hell he’s talking about when he starts mentioning “peaches”. We’ll meet you under the table.
