Get Your Socks Out: The Red Hot Chili Peppers Are Touring Australia
And they've announced a side-show.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced they’ll be returning to Australia for their first headline tour Down Under in 12 years. Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer will be playing six arena shows across Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2019, as well as a side show at Day On The Green on march 2.
The electro-funk band will be playing shows in Hobart, Sydney, the Hunter Valley, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. Full details are below.
The band — who have sold more than 60 million albums, won six Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 — were last in Australia to headline Big Day Out in 2013. Their last headline tour was in 2007.
“We can’t wait to see all our fans in Australia and New Zealand – it has been too long. The fact that we get to play in Tassie for the first time makes this tour even more special,” the band said in a press release this morning.
Ticket pre-sales will begin next week, before general release at midday AEDT on Monday, November 26.
