‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ Has A Very Killable Racist
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game in which you murder the crap out of the Ku Klux Klan. But if you want to mix it up a bit, these aren’t the only racists you can get your hands on.
There is no way of becoming a literal Nazi hunter in Red Dead Redemption 2. Riding across the countryside tracking the Klan down is an unfeasible prospect, as encountering the bed sheet wearers is a random event. The Klan appear at arbitrary times and locations like surprise pinatas. As such, you may sometimes find yourself in the mood to whale on a racist while there are no pointy-hooded miscreants immediately on hand.
Happily, Red Dead Redemption 2 players have found a solution to this very pressing issue. Turns out there is an easily located racist in St Denis just waiting to receive your generous donation of punches. If you can’t source your own free range racists, prepackaged is fine.
Norris Forsythe is a moustachioed man who can be found distributing pamphlets by the roundabout close to the city’s train station. Standing next to a chalkboard adorned with the words “Eugenics For Beginners”, Forsythe spends the day yelling things such as “I’m trying to save the white race from the horrors of equality,” and “I’m not a hater, I’m a racist. And I want you to be the same.”
Ordinarily, assaulting someone who didn’t physically assault you first gives you a hit to your honour, and may bring the wrath of the lawmen down upon you. However, as with the Ku Klux Klan, society has carved out an exception for Mr N. Forsythe and his garbage views. Punching him, shooting him, hogtying him and throwing him over your horse will all do nothing to damage your good standing. You can splatter his brain matter all over the shop windows and the law will just watch.
Players have been taking great joy in finding creative ways of taking out the trash, sometimes enlisting the help of wildlife or heavy machinery.
Though by and large it’s a consequence-less crime, there have been a few reports of people becoming wanted when taking care of Forsythe. So if you’re concerned about trouble, it seems the best if you don’t make too much of a scene. If you must set him on fire, maybe take him out of the city first.
