Recycling Just Got A Whole Lot Quicker and Easier With The New Return and Earn App

We’re all looking for little ways to keep the environment clean and thriving (if you’re not then please just leave), but sometimes it’s just not as simple as we’d like. At least that was the case until Return and Earn launched the new Return and Earn app, putting rewarding recycling right at your fingertips.

The new Return and Earn app lets you track the bottles and cans you return as well as easily manage your refunds. Open the live map to find your nearest return point, check its opening hours and get real time operational status updates so you can choose a return time that works for you. 

Once you’ve picked your return point and time that works for you, grab your cans and bottles and head on down. At a Return and Earn Machine, scan the barcode in your app before you send those empty containers on their way to be recycled. The app will keep track of how many containers you’ve returned, along with the sweet 10 cent refund you get for each one. Plus you can feel confident knowing all the containers and bottles you redeem through Return and Earn will be recycled or reused. 

Plus, using the Return and Earn app gives you the flexibility to choose what you do with your refund. Digital refunds can go directly into your bank or PayPal account or you can opt for a digital voucher to be redeemed for cash. Conveniently, these digital vouchers can also be used at participating supermarkets to reduce the cost of your groceries. 

If you are feeling socially-conscious, you can donate all or part of your refunds to your choice of nominated charities listed on the app. Current charities include GIVIT, who support flood affected communities, and the Animal Welfare League NSW, who rescue and rehome animals in need. The list of charities on the app is growing all the time so you’re sure to find one that suits you.
